Rosemont Hosts The Garden Workers Flower Show

Rosemont, Pa (April 17, 2017) — The Estate Community at Rosemont, a Presby’s Inspired Life Community, is pleased to host The Garden Workers Spring Flower Show on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. This event marks the third year the show has been held at Rosemont, which provides a stunning backdrop thanks to “Beaupre,” the Cassatt family mansion at the heart of the property.

Flowers will be on public display from 12 pm to 3:00 pm in several rooms of the picturesque French style chateau. Valet parking is available. Contestants will compete in 7 different categories, highlighting specific horticultural trends and techniques, including displays of annuals, perennials, shrubs and branches.

Started in 1930 with eight members, The Garden Workers have played a major role along the Main Line for nearly a century. With a current membership of 80, they maintain the beauty of the area through educational programming and upkeep of Sharpe Park Bird Sanctuary in Haverford. Members have been consistent exhibitors at the Philadelphia Flower Show since 1942.

Additional quotes regarding the show will be available on Monday, April 17th if so desired.
